How do we find our way in a world that pulls us in ten directions at once? How do we find stability when everything is changing so quickly? What does a well-lived life – a life of equanimity, dignity and ease – look like for each of us?

“To study the way is to study the self. To study the self is to forget the self. To forget the self is to be actualized by myriad things.” – Dogen

Our personal narratives emerge through the crucible of relationship. We are the creative nexus that both shapes the world and is shaped by it – through the company we keep, the actions we take and the words that we speak. The Urban Monk is a personal story and a public art project; the life well lived in relationship to Saint Paul, this community and an internal journey for purpose and equanimity.
